Checkout options

Checkout options are workspace-wide settings that shape every checkout page at once. Unlike the settings on an individual payment link, a change here applies to all of your checkouts.

You will find them under Settings, then Checkout. Most toggles save the moment you flip them.

Opening checkout options

  1. Click Settings at the bottom of the sidebar.
  2. Go to Checkout.

Wallet payments

  • Apple Pay and Google Pay. Turn these on to offer the wallet buttons at checkout. They appear only on devices that support them. Apple Pay is hidden for subscription products and does not run in test mode. Google Pay supports subscriptions when the customer selects a reusable card; device-token-only cards are not offered for recurring checkout.
  • Bank. Turn this on to offer pay-by-bank (also called ACH) at checkout, where the customer enters a routing and account number. This only controls whether the bank option shows. Which processor handles bank payments is set under Settings, then Payments.

Require a phone number

Require phone number at checkout is on by default, so customers must enter a phone number. Turn it off to make the phone field optional.

Discount codes

Show discount code field on checkout pages controls whether customers can type a discount code at checkout. Turn it off to hide the field. See Discount codes for creating codes.

Dual pricing (a card fee)

Dual pricing charges customers an extra fee when they pay by card.

  1. Turn on Dual pricing.
  2. Enter the surcharge as a percentage between 0 and 100.
  3. Click away from the field to save it.

At checkout, the card price includes this fee, and the summary shows a lower "pay with bank" amount to nudge customers toward the cheaper bank option. Turning dual pricing off clears the fee. On some managed accounts this setting is controlled for you and may be hidden.

Smart routing

Smart routing sends debit cards to Paysio Debit and Payouts and credit cards to NMI, for US cards. It requires both of those processors to be connected, or Paysio will not let you turn it on. See Payment processors.

Shipping options

  • Collect shipping on storefront checkouts. When on, payment links generated by your AI-built store require a shipping address.
  • Stack shipping fees on multi-product carts. When off, a cart with several products is charged only the highest single shipping fee. When on, every product's shipping fee is added together. See Tax and shipping fees.

Let customers pause subscriptions

Allow customers to pause subscriptions lets subscribers pause their own subscription from the customer portal, instead of contacting you. See Managing subscriptions.

Statement descriptor

The descriptor name is what appears on your customer's card or bank statement next to the charge. A clear, recognizable descriptor cuts down on "I do not recognize this charge" disputes.

  1. Type your descriptor. It can be up to 25 characters and use letters, numbers, spaces, hyphens, underscores, and ampersands.
  2. Click Save descriptor.

How these settings save

Toggles save the instant you flip them. The card-fee percentage saves when you click away from the field, and the statement descriptor saves when you click Save descriptor.
