Payout requests
A payout request flips the direction of a payout link. Instead of you setting an amount to send one person, you share a link where people submit their own request for money, and nothing moves until you approve it. This suits paying out many people, such as affiliates, contractors, or refunds, without creating a separate link for each.
Request links
You create a request link the same way as a payout link. Start a New Payout Link and choose the Request link type. You can add:
- Instructions shown to anyone who opens the link, explaining what it is for.
- An Existing customers only option, so only people already in your customer list can submit a request.
- Custom fields to collect extra information with each request, such as an invoice number or reason.
Then share the one link with everyone who should be able to request. There is no fixed amount and no single recipient: each person fills in their own.
What the requester does
When someone opens the link, they:
- Enter their email and verify it with a 6-digit code Paysio sends them.
- Enter the amount they are requesting.
- Choose how they want to be paid, a debit card or a bank account, and enter the details.
- Fill in any custom fields and submit.
Their submission lands in your requests queue as pending. No money moves at this point.
Reviewing requests
Submitted requests appear on the Payout Requests page. Each row shows the requester, their payment method, the amount, and a status badge (Pending, Approved, or Rejected). Pending requests also show quick approve and reject buttons right in the list.
So you never miss one, a count of pending requests appears as a badge on the Payouts section in the sidebar. When the badge is gone, you have reviewed everything waiting.
Approving and rejecting
Open a request, or use the inline buttons, to act on it:
- Approve & pay: Paysio sends the money to the requester's chosen method straight away. A breakdown shows what they receive, the Paysio fee, and your total cost, which comes out of your available balance just like sending money.
- Reject: the request is declined and nothing is paid. No funds move.
A request moves through statuses: Pending while it waits for you, then Approved (paid) or Rejected. If an approved payout does not go through, it shows Failed. You only pay when you approve, so requests are safe to leave pending until you have checked them.
Request details
A request's detail page gives you everything you need to decide:
- The amount and a breakdown of what they receive, the fee, and your total cost.
- Submitted details: the answers to any custom fields you asked for.
- The requester's name and email, and their phone if known.
- A link to their customer profile if they match an existing customer, and after approval a link to View transaction for the payout.
- An activity timeline showing when the request was submitted and when it was approved or rejected.
This lets you confirm who is asking and why before you release any money.
