Templates & saved stores
You do not have to start your store from a blank page. You can apply a ready-made template built by another Paysio merchant, and you can save your own designs to reuse or return to later. The Store page has two tabs for this: Community Templates and Saved Stores.
Browsing templates
The Community Templates tab shows storefront designs shared by other Paysio merchants. Each one appears as a card with a preview image, its name, and who made it, along with how many stores have used it.
To find something specific, use the search box, filter by Category, or change the Sort order. Click any template to open a full-page live preview so you can see exactly how it looks before committing.
Applying a template
From a template's preview, click Use This Template to make it your store.
Applying a template replaces your current storefront with the template's design. Before it does, Paysio automatically saves a snapshot of your current store to your Saved Stores, so you never lose what you had. If you change your mind, you can restore that snapshot (see below). After applying, you land in the builder, where you can customize the template with prompts just like any store. See The store builder.
Saving your store
To bank your current design, click Save on the Store page. This takes a snapshot of your store as it is right now and adds it to your Saved Stores, named with the date and time it was taken.
Snapshots are useful before a big change, so you have a known-good version to fall back on, or to keep several designs around and switch between them.
Restoring a saved store
Open the Saved Stores tab to see your snapshots, each with a preview. Click one to preview it full-page, then click Restore This Store to bring it back. Restoring loads that design into the builder as your current store, so you can pick up from it or publish it. You can also delete snapshots you no longer need.
Sharing your store as a template
If you are proud of your design, you can share it with the Paysio community so other merchants can use it. On the Store page, click Share to open Publish as Template. Fill in:
- Name: what your template is called.
- Description: a short summary of the design.
- Category: pick the category it best fits, so people can find it.
- Thumbnail: upload an image or GIF (up to 50MB) to showcase it. This is what people see in the template grid.
Click Publish and your design appears in Community Templates for others. As the author, you can delete a template you published from its preview page at any time.
