Sending campaigns

A campaign sends one of your email templates to an audience from your email list. You pick a template, choose who receives it, and either send it now or schedule it for later. Paysio drafts the details for you, so setting one up takes a minute.

Creating a campaign

From the Campaigns page, start a New campaign. The form is short.

  1. Pick a template from the dropdown. This is the design that will be sent. If the list is empty, create a template first.
  2. As soon as you select a template, Paysio's AI drafts the campaign details for you: a subject line, the inbox preview text, and an internal name. You can:
    • Regenerate to get a fresh set of suggestions.
    • Edit to fine-tune the subject, preview text, internal name, and the From name (who the email appears to be from, defaulting to your workspace name) by hand.

The subject is what recipients see in their inbox, the preview text is the line shown next to it, and the internal name is just for you to find the campaign later. Only a template and a subject are required.

Choosing recipients

The Audience section decides who gets the campaign. You filter your list two ways:

  • Status: Subscribed (only people who are still subscribed, the safe default) or All statuses.
  • Source: All sources, or narrow to a single source such as your storefront or an import.

As you change these, a live recipient count updates so you always know exactly how many people the campaign will reach before you send.

Send a test first

Before sending to your list, send yourself a copy. Enter an email address in Send a test and click Send test. Paysio delivers the campaign to that address so you can check the subject, layout, and links in a real inbox. It is worth doing every time.

Scheduling vs sending now

When everything looks right, use the action buttons:

  • Send now: the campaign goes out to your audience immediately.
  • Schedule: tick Schedule this campaign for later, pick a date and time, and the button changes to Schedule. The campaign is queued and sends automatically at that moment.
  • Save as draft: keep the campaign without sending, to finish later.

After you send or schedule, you land on the campaign's detail page, where you can watch its progress.

While it is sending

A campaign moves through statuses shown as a badge: draft, scheduled, sending, paused, completed, cancelled, or failed. From the detail page you can control one that is in flight:

  • Pause a sending campaign to temporarily stop it.
  • Resume a paused campaign to continue where it left off.
  • Cancel a sending, paused, or scheduled campaign to stop it for good. A scheduled campaign that you cancel will not go out.

Once a campaign is a draft, cancelled, completed, or failed, you can Delete it. A live campaign shows its progress as it sends, so you can see how far along it is.
