Take your first payment

You can accept a payment in a few minutes, with no website required. The fastest path is to create a product, wrap it in a payment link, and share the link.

Step 1: Create a product

1. In the sidebar, open Products.
2. Click New product.
3. Enter a name and a price. You can add a description and images later.
4. Save the product.

Step 2: Create a payment link

1. In the sidebar, open the Payments group and click Payment Links.
2. Click New link.
3. Choose the product you just made. Paysio fills in the link name and web address for you.
4. Create the link.

Your link now has an address like paysio.com/pay/your-product. This is a hosted checkout page you can share anywhere: email, text, or social.

Step 3: Test it first

Before charging a real customer, run the checkout in sandbox:

1. Turn on sandbox mode from the bottom of the sidebar.
2. Open your link and go to the checkout page.
3. Pay with the test card 4111 1111 1111 1111, any future expiry, and any security code.
4. Confirm the test payment appears in your Transactions.

Step 4: Connect a processor, then go live

To receive real money, connect a payment processor:

1. Open Settings, then Payments.
2. Connect your processor.

Then turn sandbox mode off, share your link, and you are taking live payments. The Payment processors guide walks through this in detail.

Where the payment lands

When a customer pays, the payment shows up in several places at once:

• Transactions, with its full detail and timeline.
• The Home screen's live activity feed.
• Your Balance, as money you have earned.
