Upsells

Upsells recommend extra products right on the checkout page, so a customer can add them in one tap before they pay. They are a simple way to raise the average order without any extra work at checkout time.

Upsells are set on each payment link, so you can offer different add-ons on different links.

  1. Open a payment link, or start a new one under Payments, then Payment Links.
  2. Click More options to expand the extra settings.
  3. Under Upsells, click Add upsell.
  4. Choose the product you want to offer.
  5. Add more if you like, then save the link (or click Save changes if you are editing an existing one).

An upsell is a separate product you suggest on top of what the customer came for. You cannot offer a product that is already a main item on the same link.

What customers see

Upsells appear in the order summary under an Add-ons heading. Each one shows its image, name, and price, along with an Add button.

  • When the customer taps Add, the product moves into their cart as a line item and the total updates right away.
  • Once added, it can be removed again from the cart.
  • Only add-ons the customer has not added yet stay in the Add-ons list.

Where upsell sales go

An added upsell is part of the same payment, so it behaves like any other product on the order:

  • It appears as a line item on the transaction, next to the main products.
  • Those sales count toward your reports, so upsell products show up in your top products and revenue in Analytics.
  • On the Payment Links list, each link shows how many upsells it offers.

Tips

  • Offer something complementary and low in price, so saying yes is easy.
  • Give upsell products a clear image and name. That is what sells them in the summary.
  • Keep the list of upsells short so the checkout stays clean and focused.
